Adrian Davies, the larger than life landlord of the Falstaff pub, is among those stranded in Thailand by the civil unrest there.
UPDATE: Adrian has been on local radio. He’s been in the airport for five days and is mighty pissed off.

Adrian Davies, licensee of the the Falstaff has hit back at another pub’s battle with Camra members and laughed off suggestions that members indulged in loutish behaviour there.

The Falstaff’s Adrian Davies wants Southport to join a protest march demanding ‘real chips’ in pubs. The march takes place  from 2pm on May 17, starting at Southport Town Hall before snaking its way to the King Street pub. Campaigners will receive a free portion of chips on their arrival at the Falstaff.

Southport is warmly welcoming Coronation Street star Liz Dawn as she prepares for her new role as landlady in the town.
Liz, who played Vera Duckworth in the soap, is taking over as manager of The Falstaff with her husband Don.
