Now this is my sort of blog, nicely done it’s good to see someone looking out for decent pubs which is a subject close to my heart.

I like your blog and wish I had your energy to do something similar on the N.E coast. I visited Southport not long ago and found a great pub but failed to take a note of it’s name. I hope you can identify it from my description. High ceilings, half paneled walls and Edwardian dinning room chairs. Large rooms to the right and left as you enter and a central bar area set well into the building. It is on one of the roads running east from Lord Street, either Duke Street, Portland Street, Eastbank, London or one slightly further north and parallel to those.
It would be useful if I knew the name so I could recommend it to others.
Many thanks, I shall raise a glass to you in the next hour or so. keep up the good work. John.
