Cornmarket.Black Sheep good but most expensive at 2.70.
Thos.Rigby’s.Okells good.Place really thronging around 6.
Lion Tavern.Lees Bitter.Another good pint.
Vernon Arms.Springfield .Another good pint.Nice to see place open again.
Ship and Mitre.Heaving.Gladiator(Hadrian and Borders) excellent.
White Star.Tried a Bowland brew.Good.
Richmond.Tried the Bass.Memories of my youth.Only draught about in the 70’s.Very drinkable.
A good expedition.

Yes, the Globe is wonderful & couldn’t be handier for the train. As for Liverpool pubs in general, I shall be writing a series of articles about pub crawls accessible by train around the city centre. The editor of the Southport CAMRA magazine, Ale & Hearty, has agreed to print them, and they will also be placed on the Southport CAMRA website. So far I have worked out 6 possible Liverpool crawls, and perhaps one for Wigan which is also worth a visit.
I hope they will useful for drinkers who fancy a change of scene.
