Arion looking for an identity
The Orr family have decided against taking on the Arion in Ainsdale, a management company have taken over the lease in partnership with Enterprise.
The pub is empty and drifting, but the new managers promise things will improve once the kitchen gets up and running.
It’s the old Catch 22 situation on beer though. “We’ll put cask on when it gets busier,” they say. But how is the place going to get busier with only basic keg?Me and Aggers won’t be going there in a hurry.
Barman says he’s rooting for Adnams and Black Sheep. That’ll be fine. But they desperately need to get going or the pub won’t see Christmas.

Southport, George Wright and Prospect would be much better choices. A little bit of imagination wouldn’t go amiss here, plus they’d get the prestigious CAMRA Locale accreditation.

This was suggested but they are determined to only offer the beers Enterprise say they can offer

PubCos again! I suppose Adnams and Black Sheep are an improvement on the usual guests, such as Deuchars or London Pride, not that there’s anything wrong with either of those, but they do seem to get everywhere.

its worth Ainsdale residents going in regularly and asking for cask then walking out if they have none
