Spoons plan huge pub in Blackpool
Wetherspoons want to take over the former Woolworths building next to Blackpool Tower. If the plans are approved it could be the biggest pub in the North West.
Local publicans are aghast, but as most of them provide shite beer and surly service something like this has been on the cards for a while. A plague on both of them.

Sounds like a winner to me. Of course there are some people who don’t like JDW…

Oh dear, it will end up being full of loud, rough, drunk working-class people who can’t afford £3 a pint.
Much the same as the rest of Blackpool, then…

I’m not a big fan of large pubs, unless they are having half-price beer specials.

there’s always beer sales at spoons, yet still we hate them. Why? I think because they are not natural pubs, there’s no soul there.
