Somerfield go down Big Brother route
Somerfield supermarkets are bringing in a “challenge 25″ policy. Anyone who looks under 25 will have to produce an ID card to buy booze. The store will continue to sell hooch to anyone over 18. Asda are starting a similar scheme.
My American readers, who get “carded” up until their 40s, may say ’so what?’. But how many of us Brits carry ID cards or want to? Another worrying move towards a Big Brother society

Id be happy to be asked if I was 25!

Tyson, I know what you’re saying but do you carry and ID card around? If you were in your early 20s you’d have to if Somerfield was your local supermarket. Anyway, it’s being taken over by Co-op, I believe.
Aggers – You’re right and it’s not your 30th birthday until October. Too many late nights.
