Booze ban on beach
Police have warned that people who bring alcohol onto Formby/Southport beach will have it taken off them.
The Merseyside force has confiscated thousands of pounds worth of booze in the last week and showcased their haul in a show of strength.
Richard Clarke, Acting Sergeant of Operation Beach Safe, said: “If you’re coming to the beach to drink don’t bother, go and drink in your gardens or somewhere else.”
“With the involvement of the British Transport Police we can have up to 15 officers on duty some days.”
The confiscated booze will be given to Church raffles and fetes or sold at auction.

That’s an awful lot of booze they’ve confiscated. Hope it wasn’t all of your supply:)

Not exactly mouth watering stuff really. If I had Fosters, I would happily give the police it.
