Hope for S&N pubs

Scottish & Newcastle pubs like the Guest House are to be offered Heineken brands by the end of the summer, according to Jeremy Blood, the new boss of S&NUK.

Those of us who care nothing for lager but are worried that that the new regime may clamp down on guest ales may be comforted by Blood’s expression of fondness for “craft beer”, namely the American Samuel Adams brewery.

Gail at the Guest House is confident the real ale choice is safe. Let’s hope that Blood realises, like her, that more choice from micro breweries brings in more loyal customers.
