Agree. This blog would be better balanced if it didn’t concentrate on beer. There’s another world of drinks out there. Cocktail anyone?

The Queens head in ormskirk must now be the busiest in ormy.Sometimes it is almost impossible to get in the door. Good ale, very nice barmaids and femail boss. Free butties and pies etc on most nights.

Great site.
What has happened to that other old stalwart of pubs gone by, The Oasthouse? Always some great banter, even if half of the patrons are Scottish and the other half is the old guy that has his seat taken if he’s not in by 5pm.
Eye Candy gets in there occasionally, but even if they are not gay, it’s still a great starter for the evenings revelry.

Oast house is a funny one. I want to like it, but can’t quite do it. Maybe it’s because whenever I go in there, someone tries to make me sit on the “death chair”. Perhaps I need to re-visit.
